ADA — The official “trick or treat” night in the city of Ada has been set for Saturday, Nov. 1, according to Ada Police Chief Mike Miller.

Ada High School hosts a football game on Friday, Oct. 31, and home football games usually require more police protection. Moving “trick or treat” night to Nov. 1 allows police to provide more adequate protection for young people participating in the annual Halloween activity.

Rescheduling the Halloween tradition on Saturday also means many families won’t be forced to choose between attending the football game and “trick or treat” activities.

Parents are urged to wait until Saturday, Nov. 1, before allowing their children to “trick or treat” in the traditional, door-to-door fashion throughout the city.
