ADA — A special Women’s Biz Holiday Showcase is scheduled to be held in Ada in November, according to Dr. Barbara Rackley, coordinator of the Rural Women’s Business Center of Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma.

“The showcase will serve to acquaint the community with Oklahoma’s women-owned businesses and their products,” Rackley said.  “Before completing your Christmas shopping, check out the many products and services local women business owners have to offer.”

Oklahoma business women will display a wide range of products and services, including skin care, gourmet foods, monogrammed clothing, purses, jewelry, nails, and much more.   Customers may purchase or order products and services and may also purchase gift certificates for holiday giving.

The showcase is scheduled for 2-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Pontotoc County Agri-plex, 1700 N. Broadway.  The bazaar is free and open to the public.

“Although the showcase is basically planned for women, all business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend,” Rackley said.   “This is a great opportunity to become familiar with the many products and services offered by Oklahomans.”

The event is co-sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, OSU Extension and REI’s Rural Women’s Business Center.  The Rural Women's Business Center is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Anyone interested in making their products or services available to the public at the showcase may contact REI at PO Box 1335, Durant, OK  74701 or fax to (580) 920-2745.

For more information, phone Dr. Barbara Rackley or Lori Smith at 924-5094 or toll free, 1-800-658-2823.
