Buoyed by seven first place winners, Ada High placed second in Division I at the Murray State Interscholastic Meet.
Ada’s 107 points was second to Plainview’s 146.
Of the 40-something schools in all classes, the top division had a total of nine schools. Other schools and their scores were Byng, 95, Lone Grove 76, Idabel 53, Broken Bow 32, Valiant 30, Madill 16 and Atoka 13.
It was the second runner-up trophy for AHS following a second at ECU. Ada will wind up the scholastic meet circuit March 25 at Southeastern State at Durant.
First place winners at ‘MIT’ for Ada were, Ryan Burkhart - Algebra II; Colton Lott – American History; Ryan Adams – Computer Fundamentals; Channing Solon – Spanish; Ryan Adams – Spreadsheet Applications; Jackson Boone – World Geography; and Jordan Boone – World History.
Placing second for AHS were Cali Stenson – Algebra I; and Zac Dillard – Business Math.
Third place winners were Ian Schubert – Accounting; Zac Dillard – Agricultural Business; Colton Lott – American Literature; Josiah Biles – Expository Writing
and General Biology; T.J. Freeman – Oklahoma History; Hunter Braly – Art Portfolio; and Taryn Haney – Behavioral Science.
