ADA — Ada City Schools are conducting achievement tests this week.

Susan Green, district test coordinator, said it is important for children to attend school during the scheduled test sessions. Parents are asked to not schedule appointments for thier children during test days.

To help children perform well on the tests parents are asked by school officials to do the following things:

4 Encourage the child to get plenty of sleep.

4 A nutritious breakfast will improve brain function.

4 Review the practice test with your child.

4 Talk about the importance of achievement test scores with your child. Contact the scool counselor if you thing test anxiety may occur.

4 Do the best you can to minimize household conflicts during this time.

Hayes — April 24, Grade 2, ITBS Reding Test; April 24-May 5, Grade 1 and 2, DIBELS Reading.

Washington — April 11, Grades 3 and 4, Reading and Math; April 12, Grades 3 and 4, Reading and Math; April 24, Grade 3, ITBS REading Test; and April 24-May 5, Grade 3, Dibels Reading.

Willard — April 10, Gardes 5 and 6, Math; April 12, Grades 3 and 4, Reading; April 12, Grade 5, Science and Social Studies.

Ada Junior High — April 10, Graes 7 and 8, Math; April 11, Grades 7 and 8, Reading; April 12, Grade 8, Science; April 13, Grade 8, U.S. Hisotry, constitution and government; April 17, Grade 7, Geography; April 18, Grade 7, Geography; April 19, Grade 7, Geography; April 20, Grade 7, Geography; April 25, Grade 9, Algebra I; April 26, Grade 9, Algebra I.

Ada High school — April 18, 10:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., English II, writing; April 20, first, second, third, fourth and fifth hours, Algebra I, Parts 1 and 2; April 24, second and third hours, English II, Part 2; April 25, fourth and fifth hours, English II, Part 3; and April 27, second, third, fourth and fifth hours, Biology I and U.S. History, parts 1 and 2.
