A man was stabbed northwest of Ada Thursday night and authorities are searching for a suspect.

Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said Leslie Allen Graham, 33, Ada, called a Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse police officer he knew and told him he was near Asher and had been stabbed.

Authorities searched and found Graham in a vehicle on State Highway 3W two miles southeast of the Pontotoc County line near Asher.

“He had multiple stab wounds to his arms and back,” Christian said.

Noting a large of amount of blood loss, officers called for a medical helicopter. Graham was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and treated for “superficial stab wounds,” Christian said.

Christian said the stabbing occurred at a residence in Pontotoc County and Graham drove away from the scene. Christian is not releasing a motive for the assault and said the matter is under investigation.

Sheriff’s deputies, with help from drug task force agents, Lighthorse police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, ECU police and agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, spent the night processing the crime scene at the car and the house, Christian said.
