A steady rain that hit southeastern Oklahoma in the early morning hours made for a muddy track surface Oct. 6 at Blue Ribbon Downs, but a little rain wouldn’t stop the action packed nine race live program at the Sallisaw track. The first race of the day kicked things off with an impressive win from Aseyeseefit, who dominated a field of Oklahoma bred Quarter Horses seeking their first win, defeating Willies Ontop and Ima Kelly Boy by two lengths. Making her seventh career start, Aseyeseefit landed inside the top three for the second time in her career, and earned more than $3,500 for the win. A 2-year-old daughter of Fit to Fly, Aseyeseefit has now earned just under $6,000 in her career for owner and trainer Tommy Rippee from Allen. Guided to victory by rider Tony Bennett, Aseyeseefit covered 250 yards in 13.35 seconds, giving the filly a speed index of 96.
