ADA — The Valley View Regional Hospital Auxiliary members met in the class rooms on May 18 for their monthly meeting. Bobbie Plumlee, president, opened the meeting. Lois Morgan, secretary, gave the minutes of the last meeting, and they were approved. Ina Suydam, treasurer, gave the treasurer’s report.
Mary Ruth Barnes spoke regarding the Valley View Foundation and provided literature concerning this organization. Helen Trowbridge of the Physical Therapy Department presented the auxiliary a plaque in appreciation of all the equipment they have purchased for their department.
A request was received from the hospital for equipment in the total amount of approximately $15,000. This was voted on and approved by the auxiliary members. A request from Nuclear Medicine was received for equipment for the approximate amount of $500, and it was voted on and approved.
Catharine Choate, director, announced that the auxiliary was having a book fair at the hospital on Monday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Tuesday, May 23, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the ground floor.
The members studied the orientation rules of the hospital and completed the test over the information at the meeting.
Snacks of cheese, crackers and cold drinks were served.

ADA — Chickasaw AARP Chapter 4113 met April 21 at 12:15 p.m. at the senior site on Chamber Loop. Jeannie Coplin, president, led the meeting. The program was about the care of the feet, presented by Nelde Osborn, Carl Albert Indian Health Facility. Many questions were asked and interchanges of information were given. Osborn gave each member some foot cream.
Twenty-three people attended the meeting. The next meeting is May 18.
