NOTEWORTHY: Freshman Tarin Dubler tossed in 22 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as Asher rolled to a 68-9 first-round victory over Wanette in the first round of the Pontotoc Conference Tournament. Sophomore Shelby Fleming added 12 points, sophomore Sabrina Frankovich followed with nine and senior Tristan Milburn chipped in seven, including one trey. The Lady Indians jumped out to a 26-2 advantage after one quarter and cruised from there.

Team Record: Asher is 5-1.

NOTEWORTHY: Senior Lauren Trimmer poured in a game-leading 18 points as Roff routed Tupelo, 52-29, Monday in the first round of the Pontotoc Conference Tournament. Three other Roff players – freshman Jesse Scott, junior Breecia Crawford and sophomore Jalee Hood – tossed in nine points apiece for the winners. Junior Brittany Sanders paced Tupelo with nine points. After leading 10-4 after one quarter, Roff outscored Tupelo by a 21-3 margin in the second quarter in coasting to a 31-7 halftime cushion.

Team Record: Roff 5-2.

NOTEWORTHY: Senior John Umsted fired in 24 points, including four 3-pointers, and pulled down 10 rebounds as Tupelo knocked off Stonewall, 50-48, Monday in the first round of the Pontotoc Conference Tournament. Junior Chisum Henry followed with 13 points and another junior, Corey McCollum, chipped in six points and grabbed eight boards. Senior Dakota Morgan topped Stonewall with 11 points, sophomore Gage Burns followed with 10 and Tanner Dees ended up with nine.

NOTEWORTHY: Brenton Willingham knocked down a pair of 3-point jumpers and finished with 15 points as Stratford rolled to a 64-37 win over Maysville in the first round of the Big 8 Conference Tournament. Cade Savage followed with 14 points and Matt Blackburn chipped in eight points, including two treys. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 20-10 advantage after one quarter and led 31-14 at halftime. Stratford them went on a 23-8 run in the third period to put the game way out of reach.
