NOTEWORTHY: Sarah Wauahdooah went 2-for-3 with a homer, a triple and five runs batted in and got the pitching win as Class A No. 2 Asher crushed Carney, 20-1, in 2 ½ innings on Monday in the first game of a doubleheader. Wauahdooah limited Carney to five hits. Shelby Fleming, Haylee Andrews and Kayla Riddle each went 2-for-2. Fleming had one RBI double and Andrews doubled twice. Tarin Dubler added a three-run triple to the Lady Indian attack as Asher compiled 15 hits. The Lady Indians broke a 1-all deadlock through one inning by scoring 19 times in the second.

NOTEWORTHY: Shelby Fleming went 3-for-4 from the plate while Sarah Wauahdooah, Tristan Milburn, Haylee Andrews and Tarin Dubler picked up a pair of hits each as Class A No. 2 Asher completed a doubleheader sweep with a 14-3 decision over Carney in four innings on Monday. Wauahdooah (2-for-3 with a triple), Milburn (2-for-3 with a double) and Dubler (2-for-4 with a double) each drove in three runs as the Lady Indians totaled 15 hits. Asher broke a scoreless deadlock with four runs in the second, five in the third and five in the fourth to end it.

Record: Asher is 18-6

NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Panthers played good solid defense as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs 4-2. After giving up a single run in the first and the second, Latta held Wayne scoreless the rest of the way. Latta’s first two runs came in the bottom of the third after singles by Shelbey Parnacher and Bailey Eckert, a sacrifice fly by Matison Worcester and a triple off the center field wall by Maria Priest.
