Thackerville —

Mixed martial arts fighting is coming to WinStar World Casino Wednesday, June 19, and a fighter who trains in Ada is on the card.

“Oklahoma’s own Cortez Coleman has a 9-3 professional record and currently does most of his training in Ada,” Lauren McLaughlin, Bellator MMA public relations manager, said Friday. “Coleman is always fan favorite and looking to continue his two-fight win streak. Alongside Coleman’s fight, the card is also loaded with local talent including some of Oklahoma’s premiere athletes. All of the preliminary fights will be streamed exclusively on”

McLaughlin said Coleman trains at Gym 210 in Ada and his strength and conditioning coach is Shane Cristelli. She said in addition to the preliminary fights being streamed on, all of the main card fights will be live and free on Spike TV.

“ The event will broadcast live starting at 7 p.m. and feature two hours of action on Spike TV,” McLaughlin said. “The preliminary card will be streamed live and free on starting at 5 p.m. Following the event, Spike will air the premier of Fight Master: Bellator MMA, which features 32 of the best welterweight fighters on the planet as they compete for a spot in the Bellator MMA Tournament and a $100,000 prize.”

McLaughlin  said tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased at or by visiting the WinStar World Casino Box Office, with tickets starting at $45 dollars.

“The night is headlined with the start of the four-man Light Heavyweight Tournament and the return of explosive King Mo,” McLaughlin said.
