Fluman scored on an error, then a single by Sara Beard scored Estep. Another single by Angel Dyer brought in Beard to give Cleveland an early 3-0 lead.

Latta got on the board in the bottom of the second. Madison Abney singled, and Matison Worcester doubled to put runners at second and third. Abney scored off a fielder’s choice and Worcester scored on an error to cut the LHS deficit to 3-2.

Cleveland tacked on another run in the top of the third. Kiah Rhoads walked and later scored on an error to put Cleveland up 4-2.

Worcester, another freshman hurler, got the win on the mound for the Lady Panthers. Alexander and Abney were both 2-for-2 in the contest.
