NOTEWORTHY: Mike Anderson pitched a three-hitter through five innings and went 2-for-4 from the plate with a double and run scored as Roff ripped Dover, 8-1, on Tuesday. Anderson (1-0) struck out seven, walked only one and hit one batter. The lone Dover run was unearned. Andy Antonio went 2-for-4 from the plate as well with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored and Cade Carpenter was 2-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored. C.J. Johnson, who relieved Anderson and worked the last two innings, gave up just two hits and went 2-for-3 from the plate with two RBIs and a run scored. The Tigers broke a 1-all deadlock with three runs in the fourth and four more scores in the sixth.

NOTEWORTHY: Katelyn Campise went 2-for-3 from the plate and scored a run while getting the pitching win as Stonewall blanked Wright City, 4-0, on Monday in the Rattan Festival. Tana Davis was 1-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored. Allie Denson went 1-for-1 with one RBI and Alexis Lambert was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Tameka Hamilton went 1-for-2. The Lady Longhorns tallied a single run each in the first and second innings, picked up a pair of scores in the third and added the final three runs in the fifth.

NOTEWORTHY: Each team compiled 17 hits, but it was Red Oak which came away with a 20-17 decision in five innings over Stonewall on Monday in the Rattan Festival. Mackenzie Davis went 3-for-3 with three runs batted in and three runs scored for the Lady Longhorns. Teammate Katelyn Campise was 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Allie Denson went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs while Tana Davis, Justice Dees and Larren Humphers were each 2-for-4. Tana Davis homered, finished with four RBIs and scored twice. Humphers ended up with two RBIs and scored twice and Dees scored one run. The Lady Longhorns led 4-2 after one inning and scored 10 times in the second for a 14-2 advantage. But Red Oak countered with 12 runs in the third to tie it up, took a 16-14 lead in the fourth and broke a 16-all tie with a four-run fifth.
COACH’S QUOTE: “This was a great game to be a part of…two heavyweight teams slugging it out. It was pretty good softball,” said Stonewall head coach Brian Davis.

Allie Denson was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored and Katelyn Campise went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Campise also got the pitching win, scattering seven hits, walking four and striking out one. Larren Humphers went 1-for-3 with one RBI and a pair of scored runs. Fort Towson committed six errors in the contest.

NOTEWORTHY: Valliant jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, led 7-1 through three innings and claimed a 9-2 decision over Stonewall in four innings on Tuesday. Justice Dees led the Lady Longhorn offensive effort by going 2-for-2 with one RBI. But Stonewall was limited to four hits.
COACH’S QUOTE: “Valliant is ranked No. 5 for a reason. They are pretty good as always. We had a couple of chances early to score some and missed them. We can’t do that against good teams and win,” said Stonewall head coach Brian Davis.
