Scouting Southeastern

The Savage Storm are 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the Great American Conference, but have lost their last three games. Southeastern has a strong home record, going 5-1 so far in 2013-14.

The Savage Storm are averaging a +3.7 scoring and +3.1 rebounding margin for the year and have advantages in shooting percentage (.393/.353) despite having taken 50 fewer shots.

Southeastern has three players that are averaging double-digit point totals for the year. Emily Williams leads the team with 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Breanna Small-Peppers, who did not play in the last game, averages 11.7 points and 7.8 boards per game, while shooting .526 from the field. Haley Schaefer is the final member of the trio with 11.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per outing.


Against the Savage Storm

The Lady Tigers had a strong 2012-13 season against the Savage Storm, earning wins in both meetings by an average of 10 points. ECU earned a 98-85 win in Ada and then a closer, 69-62, win in Durant.


Junior Dilan Webster led the Lady Tiger returners in the series, with 13 points and eight rebounds per game, while adding five blocks. Senior Alycea Price added 9.5 points and 11.5 boards per game, while junior Erin Walling contributed 10 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Haley Schaefer and Emily Williams are the top returners from the series for the Savage Storm. Schaefer tallied 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while Williams added eight points and 6.5 boards per game.


The Series

The all-time series with the Savage Storm is one of the longest in school history, dating back to the 1983-84 season when records are available. Southeastern currently owns a 34-30 advantage in the series, but the Lady Tigers have won the last three games.


Jackson Grabbing the Boards

Redshirt freshman Jalyn Jackson has been pulling in the rebounds for the Lady Tigers this season, recording 10 or more rebounds in four games so far. The Oklahoma City native had a career-best 17 boards at Southern Arkansas, which included 11 offensive boards. She also added 17 against Southwestern (12 offensive), 10 at Harding (six offense) and 10 against Northwestern (eight offense).
