Ada — 2014 Hard Rock Tournament rescheduled for June 22

ADA — The twice-postponed 2014 Hard Rock Tennis Tournament has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 22 at the Ada Tennis Center on South Craddock Road.

Rain has washed out the event on two previous dates.

Players should report at 1 p.m. to sign up.The tournament features blind draw doubles pairing experienced with inexperienced players.

Men and women will compete in main draw and consolation brackets for the coveted Hard Rock trophies. 

Entry fee for the event is a $5 Ada Tennis Club family membership. Players should also bring a can of new tennis balls. All players will play at least two matches.

 

Ada girls elite camp

to run June 30-July 2

ADA — An Ada Lady Cougar Elite Individual Camp will take place June 30-July 2 at the Ada Cougar Activity Center.

The camp is open to girls entering grades 5-9 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Cost is $40 per camper for the high-intensity, next-level training camp.

All-Sports Golf Tournament

set for July 14 at Oak Hills

ADA — The Ada Cougar All-Sports Golf Tournament will be held Monday, July 14, at the Oak Hills Country Club. A 9 a.m. shotgun start is planned.

Entry fees are $100 per player or $400 per team. The cost includes the green fee, a golf cart, range balls and lunch. Entries are limited to the first 72 golfers.

Honorees for this year's golf tournament will be Hugh Warren and Albert Bare.
