  • Cougs continue to win Ada stretches win streak to seven

    Gabe Simons jump-started the Ada offense with his three-run homer to left field in the bottom of the second before the Cougars pushed across six more runs in the bottom of the fourth, sending Sulphur packing 9-1 Thursday evening at Cougar Field.

  • Whitworth resets Ada's 3-point record

    As senior Walker Whitworth was bombing in the final five 3-point shots of his remarkable Ada High career, he was resetting the school’s triples record at 151. Across the way at the A-Town Barber Shop, barber Erick Gray did not even know he owned the record of 146, much less that someone was breaking it.

  • Mengwasser helps ECU slam Southwestern ECU softball team earns spot in GAC Tournament

    The East Central University softball team clinched a spot in the 2014 Great American Conference Tournament with a sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State Saturday in Weatherford. The Lady Tigers (25-20, 17-15 GAC) first defeated the Bulldogs (11-33, 7-25 GAC) 9-7 and then 9-0 in five innings in the second day of the series.

    The Byng High School girls tennis team captured a team title while the Byng boys tied for first as the Lady Pirates and Pirates played in the Norman Tournament on Monday.
