NOTEWORTHY: Reid Wall pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out 16 while going 2-for-3 from the plate, with a solo-homer, as Byng blanked Roff, 2-0, Tuesday. His solo-blast came in the sixth inning. Teammate Andrew Daniel was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Roff hurler Hunter Larsh (5-1) worked all seven innings, scattered six hits, walked two and struck out three in suffering the loss. Dalton Reed (1-for-2) and Zach Lewis (1-for-3) had the only Tiger hits.

Team Records: Roff 11-6; Byng 16-1.

NOTEWORTHY: Phylisha Chamberlain tossed a two-hitter and struck out 10 as Tupelo edged Stonewall, 2-1, on Tuesday. Kurston Chamberlain went 2-for-4 from the plate and scored a run for the victorious Lady Tigers. Tana Davis took the pitching loss for the Lady Longhorns as she surrendered six hits and three walks while striking out three.

COACH’S QUOTE: “We took a giant step in the right direction and Phylisha put us on her back (with pitching),” said Tupelo Head Coach Jason Trimmer.

Team Record: Tupelo 6-10; Stonewall 15-9.

NOTEWORTHY: The Latta Lady Panthers made quick work of the Coalgate Lady Wildcats in the three inning affair on Tuesday. Matison Worcester got the win on the mound as she gave up only one hit in the contest. Chelsea Alexander was 2-for-2 with two triples. Shelbey Parnacher and Tyler Whitney were also 2-for-2 with two runs scored apiece. Madison Abney went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. The only hit by Coalgate was double by Warren during her first at bat. 

Team Records: Latta 20-4; Coalgate 7-13.

NOTEWORTHY: Kaylea Riley fired a five-inning two-hitter while Darcy Bowerman and Breecia Crawford collected three hits apiece as Roff routed Wynnewood 11-1 Monday on the run rule. Riley (5-3) struck out six on her way to the victory. The Lady Tigers racked up 16 hits with Darcy Bowerman going 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI and Crawford going 3-for-4 with a run scored and stolen base. Kendall Sanford and Tori Brown were each 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and run scored. Lauren Trimmer and Jalee Hood were each 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Trimmer finished with one triple and scored two runs. Hood also scored once.

Team Record: Roff 12-8.
