Tim Green All-Sports Golf Classic set

The East Central University athletic department and Patriot Ford are sponsoring the 7th Annual Tim Green All-Sports Golf Classic July 1 at the Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course in Purcell featuring Dr. Gil Morgan, ECU alumnus and PGA Champions Tour professional.

“This event has evolved into a tradition that honors the legacy of Dr. Tim Green, longtime ECU director of athletics, while also reuniting the Tiger Athletics family in support of the current Tiger athletic programs,” said director of athletics Dr. Jeff Williams. “I’ve always enjoyed this fun day that is well attended by many prominent Tigers, including 1968 graduate and 1986 distinguished alumnus Dr. Gil Morgan. I want to encourage everyone to join us for a great day in Purcell.”

The tournament is a four-person scramble, with a cost of $150 per person that includes lunch and either a morning or afternoon scramble. Players can register online at www.alumni.ecok.edu, by calling 580-559-5604 or by completing the registration form on the brochure.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m., with registration and an open practice range time at the course. The morning scramble will start at 8:45 a.m., lunch is at noon and the afternoon scramble begins at 2 p.m.

Those wishing to participate can sign up as a group of four or as an individual and will then be assigned to a group.

Sponsorships are also available for individuals and business that include a Hole Sponsor ($200), Black Sponsor ($1500) and Orange Sponsor ($2000). Black Sponsors include event signage and three entry fees, while Orange Sponsors increase to four entry fees.

“I would like to thank Patriot Ford and Dr. Morgan for their contributions in making this event successful year after year,” added Williams. “Also special thanks to Mike Gowens and John McCurdy at the Bruehl Memorial Golf Course for hosting us this year.”
