Cruising Main set for June 27

Allen —

Ada residents and out-of-town visitors can enjoy a blast from the past next weekend, when the Ada Main Street program sponsors the fourth annual Cruising Main event.

The event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 27, in downtown Ada. Most of the event will take place along Main Street, but part of Rennie Street will be blocked off for a classic-car display.

A booth where people can buy Coke floats and snow cones will be set up in front of the Ada Main Street office, 114 S. Rennie St. The McSwain Theatre, 130 W. Main St., will show the movie “Viva Las Vegas” at 8 p.m.

“Cruisin' Main” T-shirts will be available this week at Ada Main Street and during the event.

The event is free and open to the public, but the T-shirts are $10 apiece.

For more information, call Ada Main Street program manager Amy Kaiser at 436-1600 or visit the program’s Facebook page.
