Center — A Stratford toddler died from injuries she received in a three-vehicle wreck Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred eight miles west of Ada on state Highway 19 just after 5 p.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Jack said 22-month-old Reagan Mitchell of Stratford was pronounced dead at Valley View Regional Hospital where she was taken after the wreck.

Jack said Mitchell was a passenger in a 2011 jeep driven by 23-year-old Whitney Griffith of Stratford. The crash occurred when Griffith, driving west, slammed into the back of a stopped 2009 Honda driven by 28-year-old Sara Woods of Ada, according to Jack. Woods, also westbound, stopped to make a left turn when the crash occurred.

The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to overturn and land in the eastbound lane where it was struck by an eastbound  2010 Kenworth semi truck. Griffith was taken to Valley View Regional Hospital with internal injuries.

Woods was taken by personal vehicle to Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada where she was treated and released. The driver of the semi, 35-year-old Patrick Sanders of Tuskahoma, was taken by Valley View EMS where he was treated and released.

Jack listed her as stable. Jack said the cause of the collision is still under investigation and seat belts and a car seat were in use.
