Escapee from Seminole County jail recaptured

Wewoka — Seminole County authorities say they’ve recaptured an inmate who escaped the Seminole County Jail.

County jail officials told reporters that 33-year-old Donald Earl Rose was arrested about 1:45 p.m. Sunday at a home in in Seminole. Details of the arrest were not immediately released.

Undersheriff Chris Conn says Rose escaped through a ceiling in the jail and that surveillance video shows him leaving the jail at 3:25 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities say Ross was being held on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, domestic assault and drug charges.
