Ada —

Joshua Stein has no recollection of what happened to him on Oct. 21 of last year.

But a bartender and Stein’s own body bore witness to the fact something terrible occurred outside Outlaws bar that day.

Stein, testified in front of Pontotoc County District Judge  Steven Kessinger that he woke up in a hospital to find his left ear had been severed; that he had lost part of his scalp on the back of his head, that he had scars to his arms, torso and legs, a fractured shoulder blade which limits the use of his right arm and areas of numbness on his body, some of which continue to cause him pain.

The bartender, Travis Dempsey, provided an account of why Stein’s body wound up in its current condition.
