Ada man injured in morning wreck

Ada — An Ada man was injured in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning on the Chickasaw Turnpike south of Roff.

Michael Bess, 29, was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with leg, head and trunk internal injuries. The other driver, 51-year-old Jose Espinoza of Dallas, was not injured.

Bess was southbound on the turnpike when his 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck went left of center and struck Espinoza’s northbound 1999 International truck, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the OHP. Bess’ pickup truck was equipped with air bags, which deployed, but Espinoza’s truck was not.
