A Wynnewood woman who was seriously hurt in a rollover accident Tuesday has died of her injuries.
Kristy Bowen, 43, was pronounced dead at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Wednesday afternoon.
The wreck also killed a 25-year-old Ratliff City man, identified as Shelby Blessin. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Bowen and Blessin were riding in a 2004 Dodge pickup truck driven by Wynnewood resident Jennifer Kimbro who was westbound on SH 7 early Tuesday morning when she crossed the center line, according to the OHP. Kimbro overcorrected, and the truck partly left the right side of the road and traveled for about 385 feet.
Kimbro took evasive action and overcorrected again, and the truck went into a broad slide across both lanes, according to the OHP. The truck rolled about four times, ejecting Kimbro and her passengers.
Neither Kimbro nor her passenger wore seatbelts. The OHP report said a trooper noticed an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath.
Kimbro, 24, was taken to Duncan Regional Hospital with arm, leg and internal trunk injuries, according to the OHP. She was transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in serious condition.
Kimbro was in good condition as of Wednesday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesman.
