Trash crews picking up delayed routes today, Tuesday

Ada —

Last week’s winter storm prevented WCA Waste Corp. crews from picking up trash on their regularly scheduled routes Friday.

Crews are collecting trash on the affected routes today and Tuesday unless bad weather strikes again, said Lisa Bratcher, public information specialist for the city of Ada. WCA collects residential trash in Ada under a contract with the city.

Bratcher said Friday’s delay will not affect WCA’s collection schedule for this week.

“They’re not changing their regularly scheduled pickups,” she said. “So if your day is Friday, you’re going to be picked up this Friday as well.”
