Victim Trapped in Wreck vs Semi

Ada —

Firefighters and EMS worked to free a man from a wrecked vehicle crunched under a semi truck on state Highway 1 just east of Ada Wednesday. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Rob Benedict said the driver of the pickup, 43-year-old Christopher Gillespie of Ardmore, was treated and released from a local hospital after he was freed by firefighters using hydraulic prying and cutting tools. Benedict said the wreck occurred when the driver of the semi, 64-year-old Robert Lyne of Sheldon, Wis., made an improper right turn from the left lane and into the path of Gillespie.
