Two die in crash on Highway 7

Hennepin —  A Sulphur teen and a Ratliff City man died in a head-on collision Friday.

The crash occurred 8:30 a.m. on state Highway 7 on the western edge of Hennepin, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jody Cornelison.

Cornelison said 17-year-old Rally Scott Beam of Sulphur was driving a 2003 Lexus east on SH 7 when, for an unknown reason, he crossed the center line and collided with a 1995 Peterbilt semi driven west on SH 7 by 52-year-old Ronnie Percell of Ratliff City.

Both Beam and Percell died at the scene from massive injuries.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
