PAWS gearing up for second 5K benefit

Pontotoc Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) will have its second Get Your PAWS Moving 5K benefit event at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Wintersmith Park. It is the group’s second-largest fundraiser for the local shelter. There will be a timed 5K run and walk (for people) and a one-mile fun run for people and their dogs. A microchip clinic will also be open during the event. Microchip implantation will cost $20.

Registration forms can be picked up at Perks Club, Gym 210, White Rock Fitness and Nutrition, Bodytech MMA and Early registration forms can be picked up from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Perks Club. Registration for adults: $25; for children under 12, $15.
