Valley View board closing in on choice of partner

Ada —

The Valley View Regional Hospital board of directors is nearing completion of due diligence work on two potential health care partners.

The board is evaluating Integris and Mercy.

“The board is moving as quickly as is reasonable in assessing these two entities and how they might positively impact Valley View’s future," board chairman Dean Peterson said. “We fully understand that the community, our physicians and our co-workers are anxious to know the outcome of our deliberations. We obviously want to do what’s right for the future of health care in Ada and the surrounding area. We are being diligent in our study.”

The board has been gathering information on Integris, Mercy and the changing health care environment since October. The implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, along with other factors, motivated the board to seek a partner to strengthen Valley View’s position for the future.
