Ada — An Ada man wanted for an alleged kidnapping turned himself in to authorities Tuesday.

Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian said 23-year-old Ramey Reamy phoned authorities and set a up a time and location to turn himself in. Reamy was sought after an encounter with authorities in the pre-dawn hours Sunday.

Deputies were responding to a call where it was alleged Reamy kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, Brittni Etier, from an Ada residence. When deputies confronted Reamy at a house in the county, he allegedly fled the scene. Christian said the alleged kidnapping is still under investigation.
