Man hurt in wreck

Ada — An Elmore City man was injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision near Pauls Valley.

Douglas Stallcup, 49, was taken to Pauls Valley General Hospital, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was later airlifted to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition with leg, head and internal trunk injuries.

A hospital staffer said Monday she could not release information about Stallcup’s condition.

The crash occurred on Airline Road, three miles east of Indian Meridian Road and five miles west of Pauls Valley. Pauls Valley resident Robert Rennie, 59, was westbound on Airline Road in a 2008 Ford pickup truck, and Stallcup was headed east on a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle.

Rennie turned south into Stallcup’s path, causing Stallcup to take evasive action, according to the OHP. Stallcup’s motorcycle was laid on its side and slid to a stop.

Rennie was wearing a seat belt, but Stallcup was not wearing a helmet when the wreck occurred, according to the OHP. Rennie was not hurt.
