Former Ada educator uses experience to help others

Ada —

After 35 years of teaching kids, Allene Warren wanted to use her experience to help students in another way.

The Ada woman’s newest venture is Wiggles to Wisdom, a store catering to children of all ages and their parents. The store recently opened at 116 E. Main St., in the former Tattered Lace location.

Warren taught the reading and gifted and talented programs at Ada Junior High from 1981 to 1996, and she is the former director of Early Childhood at East Central University. She began her business career by renting booth space for Wiggles to Wisdom, and then opened the store in downtown Ada in March.
