Ada man dies in single-car accident

FITTSTOWN — An Ada man was pronounced dead at the scene in a single vehicle car accident Friday afternoon on a county road northeast of Fittstown.

According to a highway patrol report, at approximately 1 p.m., Rickey Griffin, 57, Ada, was northbound on a county road when he apparently suffered from a heart attack, which caused the vehicle to run through an intersection and strike a creek bed.

Griffin was not wearing a safety belt.
