City sponsors spring clean-up

Ada — Ada residents who want to celebrate Earth Day this year can mark the occasion by helping clean up the city.

The city will sponsor its second annual spring clean-up event from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday in conjunction with the statewide Keep Oklahoma Beautiful program. Volunteers will meet in the old Kmart parking lot at Kerr Lab and Cradduck roads, and the city will provide trash bags, gloves and water.

The citywide event is open to all ages, groups and organizations, and community service certificates will be presented.

Ada’s clean-up day coincides with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s 25th annual Trash-Off event, which brings volunteers together to clean up the state.
