A 75-year-old Oakman resident died in a house fire early Wednesday morning in the Woodbrook housing complex.
A Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputy was among the first on the scene and pulled Curtis L. Hughey Jr. from the burning house, Rob Johnson, assistant fire chief on the A shift for the Ada Fire Department, said Friday. Hughey was pronounced dead at the scene, but information about the case of death was not available Friday.
