Ada sports complex may start out small

Ada —

Ada’s plan to add more athletic fields may have to start with a small facility that can expand to meet the community’s needs, according to the company developing plans for the project.

As part of its research, the Colorado-based company GreenPlay recently surveyed Ada residents about their recreational wants and needs. The company, which worked with the firm RRC Associates on the survey, presented the results during a town hall meeting Monday night at the Pontotoc Technology Center.

GreenPlay is charged with developing game fields for the city, but the company decided to survey residents about other recreational opportunities as well, said GreenPlay principal Pat O’Toole. Officials may eventually use the information to develop a master recreation plan for the city.
