Intersection of 15th, Stadium to close for construction

Ada — The intersection of 15th Street and Stadium Drive will close for approximately 30-45 days for a major construction project beginning Monday.

This intersection is at the north end of Scenic Drive, which connects the southeast corner of the East Central University campus to the northwest corner of Wintersmith Park.

The Scenic Drive reconstruction project is under way and will feature a more stable concrete surface with new bike and pedestrian lanes.

During this phase of the project, traffic that would normally use this intersection will be rerouted along 14th, Francis, and 18th streets. Motorists should watch out for detour signs. Stadium will be closed to through traffic between 14th and 18th streets, and 15th will be closed east of College Avenue.

Residents living inside the barricaded zone will be able to access their drives.
