Family spat ends with DUI arrest Monday

Ada —  

A mother concerned about her daughter’s welfare after an argument with her boyfriend resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old Ada man early Monday morning.

The argument, according to the mother, ended when Dusty Wayne Caudill left the residence in the 1000 block of East Seventh, taking the woman’s car keys and her white 2006 Chevrolet with him.

Officers Brian Engel and Jason Keck were called to the home where they talked to Caudill’s girlfriend.

She told them Caudill had been drinking Kentucky Deluxe whiskey and started yelling and arguing with her.

About 1:40 a.m., the officers saw a white, four-door car turn east onto Seventh Place from Highland. Police confirmed the man’s identify after pulling him over. The officers smelled what they believed to be alcohol on his breath, according to a police report.
