Update: Manhunt underway in Murray County

Sulphur — Law enforcement from several agencies are hunting for a man who escaped from Murray County jail Wednesday afternoon. According to radio traffic, officers are searching for 31-year-old Brandon Evans who allegedly forced his way out of the jail and is possibly armed.


Oklahoma Highway Patrol Captain Ronnie Hampton said 12 troopers are assisting Murray County Sheriff's officials with the manhunt. OHP is also using a helicopter around the area to help in the search. Evans was believed to be in the Mill Creek area at 1:10 p.m., according to radio traffic. The Ada News will continue to update this story.
