Concert in the park set

Ada —

Ada will launch its summer entertainment series this weekend with a free concert in Wintersmith Park.

Saturday’s concert features the Billy K Band, an Oklahoma-based group that specializes in country, red dirt and acoustic music. The event will begin at 5 p.m. on the concrete paver south of Wintersmith Lodge.

People are invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and non-alcoholic beverages for an evening of music in the park.

Hungry patrons can buy dinners from Santa Fe Cattle Co. restaurant, which will be selling meals for $5 each, said Lisa Bratcher, public relations specialist for the city. All proceeds from food sales will go to help tornado victims.

The Kiwanis of Greater Ada club will open its snack bar that evening, and children’s rides will be available.

For more information, contact Bratcher at 436-8133.
