Ada police officer witnesses collision

Ada —

Some collisions happen right in front of local police, as was the case with patrol officer Brian Engel at about 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a police report, the officer was on patrol in the area of 10th and Mississippi streets when he saw a brown SUV stopped at a red light at the intersection. Seconds later, the driver of a tan Chevrolet Blazer approached the rear end of the SUV.

Then it hit the SUV, driven by Benita Erwin.
