Father's Day fight lands one man in jail

Ada — When Ada police drove up on West 13th Street Sunday, they found one man holding another man in a bear hug position, according to a police report.

It wasn’t a friendly bear hug, either.

Michael Bonner of Ada told police he had heard Jonathan Strickland was coming to the west 13th Street address. Bonner told those around him if that happened, he was going to "kick  Jonathan’s  a...”

Strickland of Ada showed up shortly thereafter,  and Bonner reportedly made good on his promise by getting into a fight with Strickland.

Strickland shed more light on the situation when he told police officers John Parker and Brian Engel he was there to pick up his children for Father’s Day.

Strickland said he was outside talking with his children when Bonner came out of the residence to talk with him.
