Sections of city streets undergo improvements

Ada — Intersection of Main and Mississippi

The four corners located at the intersection of Mississippi and Main streets will undergo improvements effective immediately. City crews will reconstruct the corners to accommodate new signal light poles. The work is expected to take place through the middle of July.

Highland to close between Sixth and 10th

A section of Highland Street between Sixth and 10th streets closed starting Monday, June 23, while city crews make improvements in the area. Traffic around the East Central University campus will be affected. Crews will make every effort to allow traffic to use the street during construction with only intermediate closures. Motorists should be aware of possible delays associated with this route and plan for alternatives.

Exact dates for all city projects are always subject to change, and every effort will be made to notify the public in advance of any changes.
