Crazy Corner crash hurts one

Ada — A one vehicle wreck left a woman injured Monday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Arlington and Mississippi in the afternoon. Ada Police Officer Steven Watkins said the woman — whose identity was not available by press time — was driving west on Arlington when, as she approached a stop sign, jumped a curb and ran into a ditch.

“She said she just wasn’t paying attention,” Watkins said at the scene.

The vehicle slammed into a culvert and the air bag in the KIA Spectra did not deploy. The woman complained of chest pain from hitting the steering wheel.

Firefighters and Valley View EMS worked to remove the woman on a backboard. She was taken to Valley View Regional Hospital.
