Ardmore church to host women at annual event

Ardmore —  

Ardmore First United Methodist Church invites all area women to the 7th Annual Getaway with God Women’s Retreat, A New Name, My Identity in Christ, to be held Feb. 22-23 at the Colvert Ministry Center, 503 West Broadway, Ardmore.

The mission and intent of the Getaway with God is to provide a time of fellowship, encouragement, and inspiration through God’s Word, worship, and prayer.

Doors open Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. The event continues until 10 p.m. and resumes on Saturday morning with the doors opening at 8:30 a.m. The conference concludes Saturday at 6 p.m. The keynote messages and breakout sessions will be presented by six women, five of whom form the ministry group Common Ground 5: Jenny Broughton, Christy Johnson, Stefne Miller, Rachel Sinclair, and Diane Stout, all from the Oklahoma City area. Also speaking is First United Methodist Church Bible teacher Karen Chaffin.
