Ada Main Street seeks chocolate entries

Ada —  

Ada Main Street’s Charmed by Chocolate event will be Saturday, Feb. 9, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at The Historic Ada Depot, 300 West Main Street in Downtown Ada. This chocolate-themed culinary competition will have four categories: Cakes, Pies and Brownies; Chocolates and Candies; Cookies of all Kinds; and Wild-card

Contestants may enter as youth, amateur, or professional. Youth entrants may be assisted by an adult. Professional bakers, chefs, or culinary students must enter in the professional category.

The public will be able to sample the entries and bid on desserts in the silent auction.

All entry forms must be received by 4 p.m., Feb. 8, 2013, at the Ada Main Street office. For more information contact Jennifer Johnston, program manager for Ada Main Street, at 580-436-1600 or adamainstreet@cableone.net.
