Warrant issued for suspect’s arrest

Ada — An arrest warrant with a $1 million bond was issued for a man suspected of first-degree burglary.

The alleged burglary occurred Friday, Nov. 15 at an Ada residence. An arrest warrant was issued for 34-year-old Audie Dean Sullivan. Police believe Sullivan may reside in the Duncan area or possibly Wichita Falls, Texas. He was last seen in Wichita Falls, police said.

Sullivan is 5-feet, 11 inches tall, 200 pounds and has blue eyes, according to authorities. Police received several calls as to who the suspect might be after releasing information to the media. Detectives identified Sullivan from information gathered during the past week.

Police say Sullivan went to a home in the 1000 block of East Sixth and knocked on the door. When a man living at the house, Rohit Kapoor, answered, the suspect reportedly asked to use the restroom and when he was refused, forced his way into the home and wrestled with Kapoor, demanding money.

Kapoor spoke with The Ada News Thursday. Kapoor said that after the man forced his way in, the man held a gun to Kapoor’s head and demanded money. Kapoor said he told the man he didn’t have any money and pleaded with him to leave as he held the gun to his head.

“I closed my eyes and said, ‘OK, you want to kill me, kill me. I don’t have any money, I don’t have anything,” Kapoor said.

Kapoor took out his phone to call police and was threatened before he was punched and pistol whipped on the head several times. Kapoor said before leaving the house, the suspect threatened to kill him if he called police.

Ada police detective Shane Jones interviewed Kapoor Thursday and showed him a photo lineup which included Sullivan and five other men with similar physical attributes, according to an affidavit filed by Jones Friday.

“Kapoor immediately picked Sullivan out of the lineup and said he was the man who forced his way into his house and held a gun to his head,” Jones wrote.
