Ada — Ladies’ Breakfast scheduled

Healing Services to be held
First United Methodist Church will hold two Healing Services Jan. 19 at both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services. The Healing Services will be conducted by Rev. David Daniel, Rev. Roberto Escamilla, Rev. Jana Hogg and Rev. Don Venable.
The objective of these services is to lift up intercessory prayers for those with physical ailments, emotional and mental disturbances and persons needing reconciliation.
The ministers will be anointing with oil for those coming forward. Anyone in the city/county needing this type of ministry is invited to attend either service. The church is located at 129 W. 14th St. For more information, phone 332-1398 and/or visit www.fumcada.org.
The United Campus Misistry of East Central University will have its Spaghetti Spectacular Thursday, Jan. 23, at First United Methodist Church Christian Cafe Center at 14th Street and Broadway. This has been rescheduled from December due to weather conditions. Lunch will be served 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Church offers lessons on coming of Christ

St. Joseph Youth to host Chili Cook-Off
The youth group at St. Joseph Church will host a chili cook-off Sunday, Jan. 26, at noon in Benedictine Hall at 1300 E. Beverly. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 per person which includes sampling of the chili recipes and a beverage. Each person will be given a ballot to vote for their “people’s choice” chili recipe.
Along with the chili contest, there will be a silent auction table with various gift baskets, desserts, an original artwork by Toni Sollazzo and 2 western hats from Dry Creek Hatters.
The proceeds from the fund raiser will be used to help the youth attend the Steubenville Youth Conference in July.

ABT Spanish Department meets Sundays
Ada Baptist Temple’s Spanish Department meets every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for Bible study, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for preaching and worship and then on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for prayer and Bible study.
