Man OK after parking lot tumble

Ada — An Ada man is OK after a rollover accident at a local department store parking lot Thursday.

Ada police said 84-year-old John Brown was driving his vehicle through the Wal-Mart parking lot and hit a stop sign at 10:10 a.m. Brown did not see the sign during  heavy rain.

The vehicle bent the sign pole over during the impact, causing the car to tumble onto its side.

Ada firefighters were forced to remove the vehicle's windshield to free Brown. Brown told emergency officials he was OK and did not need medical attention.
