'Cruisin' for CASA' fundraiser set for June 15

The Court Appointed Special Advocate program is offering supporters a chance to relive the era of poodle skirts, hula hoops and Elvis.

CASA’s “Cruisin’ for CASA” fundraiser is set for Saturday, June 15, at Pontotoc County Agri-Plex, 1710 N. Broadway Ave. The event will include dinner and a silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m., a live auction at 7:30 and music and dancing at 8:30 p.m.

CASA used to host a country music-themed fundraiser called “Country Roads” each year, but organizers decided to try a 1950s theme this year, executive director Gwen Gjovig said in a May 24 interview.
