Ada Regional United Way hits 2013 goal of $230K

Ada —  

The social service programs that rely on the Ada Regional United Way for financial help can breathe a little easier this year.

United Way officials announced Monday the organization has reached its fundraising goal of $230,000 for the year, so it will have enough money to distribute to local social service programs.

United Way usually reaches its goal by the end of the year, when the organization wraps up its annual fundraising campaign, said executive director Latricia Bryant. She said she was pleased the organization hit this year’s target several weeks before the deadline.

“That’s a wonderful feeling,” she said.
